High flying Wolves Women were the visitors to our 1st game at HCLFC's home ground of Barton for some time. We now have a series of 4 games at home which hopefully will draw in a good crowd of supporters. On today's performance it certainly should. We had a huge army of mascots from Chants Girls Football Team - thanks for coming girls.

The match was played in bright sunlight which I'm sure proved for Abi Wallace in our goal the first half and also the Wolves keeper, Bec Thomas in the second, straight into their faces in the mid afternoon. We scored early in the first half thanks to Captain Ellie Tanser but that was wiped out fairly soon after by a looping cross by Destiney Toussaint from the right wing. We managed another before half time thanks to Hope Knight.

The second half was end to end and we were treated to another 3 goals, 2 for Wolves and another by Hope which left the match in a 3-3 draw at the end. The Ladies played really well after such a long layoff. We now look forward to entertaining Stourbridge next Saturday. Hope won the Player of the Match award, which was presented to her by Emma from our Match sponsor for the day, Seafish.

Here are a few images. The full album is here.
